    The GEMS Titanium Credit Card offered by the National Bank of Abu Dhabi is a card that has been created in association with GEMS Schools and boasts of being UAE’s first dedicated education card. The primary benefit that it offers is an attractive discount on your child’s school fee but other than that it also offered many of the features and benefits other credit cards do. These benefits could range from lifestyle benefits to travel benefits to reward programs.

    Features of the GEMS Titanium Credit Card

    • Annual Fee: The primary card and any other supplementary cards are free for life, which means that there is no annual fee for them.
    • Interest Rates: The interest rates charged for retail transactions is 2.75% per month and for cash advances it is 3% per month.
    • Cash Advance: You can withdraw up to 60% of your credit limit as cash if you need cash in a hurry.
    • Credit Period: If you make all your payments in full then you can enjoy interest free periods of 56 days.
    • Cash withdrawals: The fee charged for cash advances will be 3% of the amount withdrawn or AED 100, whichever is higher.
    • International transactions: International transactions conducted using this card will be charged at 2.75%.
    • If you request for a replacement for your card or make payments for your cards at Al Ansari then you won’t be charged any fee.
    • The cards come with one special condition which is that in order to be able to apply for and take this card, your children need to be studying in a GEMS School in the UAE.

    Benefits of the NBAD GEMS Titanium Credit Card

    The benefits offered by the card are numerous and cover everything from travel to shopping to paying for your child’s education.

    • GEMS School Discount: Since the card is issued in association with GEMS School, the card will afford you a 7% discount when you use it make payments for the school fee.
    • Credit Shield: The outstanding balance on your card is protected by a credit shield for which you will have to pay 0.85% of the outstanding balance and is subject to a maximum payment of AED 1,700.
    • Special Offers: The card will allow for 2 trips to the airport for free and give you exclusive access to VIP lounges at airports across the Middle East.
    • It also allows you to visit Fitness First health clubs and pay only AED 15 per visit for the first four visits every month.
    • If you are into movies then you can watch them at select theatres for just AED 5 on weekdays and AED 20 on weekends.
    • The card also provides an insurance cover of up to AED 2 million to cover your child’s education in case you were to meet with an accident that left you dead or permanently disabled. This insurance is available for the payment of a premium.
    • When you travel using this card, you are covered by a travel insurance of up to AED 500,000.
    • You can even transfer the balance from other credit cards to this card.

    NBAD GEMS Titanium Credit Card Rewards

    The GEMS Titanium Credit Card comes with a rewards program where every AED 1 spend on the card earns you 1.5 NBAD Stars which can either be redeemed for services like Skywards Miles from Emirates or turned into points added to an NBAD Stars Card which can then be used to make payments if the outlet accepts Visa cards.
